This is one of a number of projects successfully completed for this client and involved the fit-out of the newly constructed Saltire Centre, the largest single new-build project commissioned by the University. Works included the supply and installation of a variety of bespoke manufactured joinery items, including shelving units for the student library, balustrading and hand railing throughout the featured atrium. In addition acoustic tunnels were created between the library and atrium; and bespoke timber linings were produced and installed. Other works associated with the project included the creation and fit-out of the various toilet blocks throughout the Centre.
The Saltire Centre has achieved a number of awards including: RIBA Design Award 2006; RIAS Andrew Doolan Award for Architecture 2006 shortlist; Scottish Design Awards 2007- Public Building Shortlist; Lighting Design Award 2007.
