Pentland Avenue

  • Sector : leisure
  • Client : Mr Thomson
  • Project : Pentland Avenue, Edinburgh
  • Value : £580,000
  • Duration : 32 weeks

This project involved the formation of a very unique, subterraneanal house within the grounds of an existing private villa. Built on a sharply sloping site, it required the construction of a significant retaining wall structure to facilitate the concealed domestic property.
In keeping with the design of the front facing elevation of the property, a contemporary finish was achieved throughout. The interiors included modern audio visual installations and energy management systems, as well as the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke furniture.

This unique building won the Daily Telegraph Best Residential Architecture Award 2006.
