TJL are proud to announce that they are now active members of the Prince’s May Day Network. This adds to our already significant sustainability credentials, such as our Biomass Boiler in our workshop.
ISO18001 is an external accreditation or checking that pre-agreed standards are being met. TJL have decided not to commit to annual audit costs, but have committed more than that to annual improvement in practice with real business process measurements that are submitted annually to the Mayday Network.
The Network is the UK’s largest group of businesses committed to taking action on climate change. By sharing best practice, these businesses promise to play a powerful role in reducing the UK's carbon emissions. Please see www.maydaynetwork.com for more information.
This action is reflected in the development of our Environmental Policy, and our recently updated CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Policy. These policies illustrate our dedication to ensuring that, we are not only causing minimal disruption to our stakeholders and the environment, but actively taking steps to create a positive impact within communities and on the environment as a whole.
We recognise the longer term business benefits, along with our individual and collective moral obligations, to conduct our activities Profitably and yet with full consideration to our Planet and its People.
This ‘3P bottom line’ is a cornerstone of the Mayday Network and is our business rationale, alongside our four, strongly held, core values.
